Comparing Kylie and Kris Jenners’ New Hairstyles

Kylie Jenner is known for constantly trying out new hairstyles and colors. It shouldn’t come as a surprise that the model has once again experimented with her look. On February 8th, the youngest sister in the Kardahsian-Jenner clan posted an Instagram selfie revealing her new hair. And it immediately made us think of her mom, Kris Jenner.

Kylie Jenner’s New Bob

Kylie Jenner debuted a funky pixie bob and bangs that gently fall over her face. In another photo, she was also wearing a simple black two-piece set to make the hairstyle stand out.

“Freaky Friday, Kris Jenner edition 🔥” was just one of the many comments under Kylie Jenner’s posts. Another fan even suggested that the two take a photo together. Fans were pretty impressed with Kylie’s new look and even said the star reminded them of the one and only “momager” Kris Jenner, who is well-known for her signature cut that she’s had for years. How long has “momager” been a thing, by the way? Asking for a friend.

Who Wore it Better?

Both Kris and Kylie Jenner are fashion icons, and a little healthy family competition is always needed. Ky captioned her post with the words “Kris Jenner is quaking,” jokingly teasing her mom. Of course, the 68-year-old reality star couldn’t stay silent on the situation.

Kris responded by commenting: “You’re not even the fart,” referencing a part of Ice Spice’s song, “Think U The S**t (Fart).” Jokes aside, we’re pretty sure that Kris Jenner is proud of her youngest one and is even happy that her daughter took some hair inspiration from her.

As we all know, Kylie’s hair is naturally black, and it seems like she’s truly embracing this more authentic look. After years of experimenting with different colors, she’s probably trying to keep her hair healthier and leave out the extensions. We like this new era of Kylie and hope to see more of it in the future.

Apple TV+ Joins Netflix in Canceling Shows After One Season

In the realm of streaming entertainment, cancellations have become an unfortunate reality, and Apple TV+ has joined Netflix in the trend of axing shows after just one season. The recent cancellation of the comedy-drama series High Desert starring Patricia Arquette showcases the impact of completion metrics on determining a show’s fate.

Netflix and Apple TV+ in Sync

Both Netflix and Apple TV+ have gained notoriety for abruptly canceling shows after their first seasons. Titles like Everything Sucks!, I Am Not Okay With This, and High Desert have all fallen victim to this recurring trend among streaming platforms. Apple TV+ following in Netflix’s footsteps with the cancellation of High Desert, further highlights this growing phenomenon.

The Story of High Desert

High Desert, which premiered on Apple TV+ on May 17th, introduced viewers to the character of Peggy, portrayed by Patricia Arquette. The series revolved around Peggy’s journey as a private investigator after her mother’s passing. Set in the picturesque town of Yucca Valley, California, the show featured an ensemble cast and delivered a compelling narrative that sadly concluded after just one season.

A New Rule in Streaming

Netflix’s notorious 28-day viewership rule revolves around the concept of completion. Viewer metrics within the first four weeks of a show’s release significantly influence the decision to renew or cancel a series. Interestingly, the decision to cancel High Desert was made approximately six weeks after its premiere, leading to speculation about a potential similar viewership rule implemented by the streaming platform.

2023 TV Schedule Casualties

The 2023 TV schedule has witnessed several casualties among big streaming platforms. Alongside High Desert, shows like Amber Brown and Dear Edward met the same fate, concluding after their debut seasons. While The Mosquito Coast and Truth Be Told enjoyed longer runs, they, too, bid farewell. The cancellations highlight the evolving landscape of streaming entertainment, where factors beyond popularity contribute to a series’ destiny.

Supporting Beloved Content

When a beloved streaming show faces cancellation, it’s important to understand that it’s not personal but a result of metrics and viewer completion. Timely completion within those crucial first four weeks becomes an influential factor in supporting the content we enjoy. By completing shows promptly and encouraging friends to do the same, viewers can demonstrate their support and increase the chances of their favorite series continuing.
