Pixar has come out with a lot of content over the years and some movies have really grabbed audiences’ attention. Up definitely caught people’s eyes.
Of course, it was praised for the usual Pixar charm. On top of that, many found the story of Carl and his wife touching and it even brought a tear to many people’s eyes. As for this Pixar fan, they just couldn’t relate to all the hype.
Gravity
If you ask critics, it’s hard to go wrong with the movie Gravity. By the numbers, it wasn’t just one of the most critically-acclaimed sci-fi titles in recent years but offered the biggest box office hit for both leads.
For this person, it wasn’t one of their favorite movies, to say the least. They namely blamed the fact that the movie relied too heavily on those successful leads, Sandra Bullock and George Clooney, to make up for a lacking story.
The Dark Knight Rises
When it comes to Batman, the Caped Crusader has seen many forms over the years. When The Dark Knight trilogy came out, it gave us a grittier hero on the big screen.
After the previous entry in the series, simply titled The Dark Knight, this fan was left wanting more from The Dark Knight Rises. In all fairness, Heath Ledger’s depiction of the Joker really left fans with sky-high expectations for anything that followed.
The Hangover
The Hangover came out in 2009 and it didn’t take long for it to reach incredible popularity. It even ranked as the ninth-highest-grossing film of the year.
Comedy is fickle, though, and some people are bound not to laugh. After hearing all the hype around the movie, this person was ready to be blown away. Instead, they found that the film only solicited a chuckle or two rather than the roaring laughter they’d heard about.
We all love movies. When done well, they can move us to tears, leave us in stitches with laughter, or even really leave you pondering them for a while.
